Ad analysis for DTC brands

Paste a Meta or TikTok Ad Library URL and get a structured diagnostic — hook archetype, Schwartz stage, persuasion levers, A/B hypotheses — in under two minutes.

The problem: reading ads by hand doesn't scale

You find a competitor's ad that's been running for six weeks. That's a signal — long-running creatives on paid social are almost always profitable. So you watch it, take notes, and try to brief a version for your brand.

The brief comes back generic. The creative team produces something that looks like the ad you studied but doesn't feel like it. You ship it, it hooks at 8%, the original is still scaling at the brand you watched.

This is the most expensive creative habit in DTC. You copied the surface — the aesthetic, the format, the creator type — and missed the mechanism: the Schwartz stage the ad was written for, the hook archetype doing the work in the first three seconds, the two Cialdini levers that made the body believable. The surface is visible. The mechanism requires diagnosis.

Brands like Olipop, AG1, and Ridge aren't winning because they have better taste or bigger production budgets. They're winning because their creative teams run a structured read on every ad they study before they brief anything. They know which hook archetype transferred, which persuasion lever their category can credibly fire, and why the same Bold Statement that works for a supplement would fall flat for a wallet. Most DTC teams don't have a creative strategist who can run that read in 90 seconds on every ad in their swipe file. That's the gap AdRevila closes.

How AdRevila fits your workflow

The workflow is one step: paste a Meta or TikTok Ad Library URL. No browser extension, no upload, no account linking.

AdRevila passes the URL to a single Gemini model via fal.ai, which watches the complete video in one call — not frame samples, not a transcript scrape, the actual video with audio and visual context together. That matters because hook archetypes aren't detectable from transcripts alone. A Pattern Interrupt hook lives in the visual break against feed norms. A Direct Address hook lives in the second-person framing and the qualifier. You need the full video to read either correctly.

The model outputs a structured report in 60–120 seconds. You can pull it as JSON (for your own dashboards), Markdown (for Notion or Slack), PDF (for team review), or a public share link (for async creative briefs).

The full pipeline: URL in → video watched → structured diagnostic out. No intermediate steps, no manual tagging, no waiting for a strategist's calendar slot.

What you get back

Every AdRevila report covers the same layers in the same order:

Hook score. The hook is tagged as one of five archetypes: Pattern Interrupt, Bold Statement, Question, Direct Address, or Proof-First. The report names which archetype is present, why, and whether the hook earns the next five seconds — the one job a hook has.

Schwartz awareness stage. The ad is placed on Schwartz's five-stage awareness ladder (Unaware through Most-Aware) based on what the opening assumes the viewer already knows. This is the single most useful input for your own creative briefs, because stage-mismatched traffic is the most common reason a well-produced ad has a bad CVR.

Script and body diagnosis. The body is scored against AIDA, PAS, and related copy frameworks, then tagged for Cialdini levers — which ones fire, and at which moment. Not a checklist of every principle; the ones actually present in the ad.

Offer math. The value equation (Hormozi) is scored lever by lever: Dream Outcome, Perceived Likelihood, Time Delay, Effort and Sacrifice. The CTA commitment level is named, and if the destination URL is visible, the report checks for ad-to-LP continuity.

A/B hypotheses. Two to four specific test variants the ad suggests: swap the hook archetype, raise the Dream Outcome resolution, lower the CTA commitment level for the cold traffic this ad is clearly targeting. Actionable, not generic.

Letter grade (A–F). The AdRevila grading rubric grades not just execution quality but mechanism transferability. An A means the mechanism is sound and cross-category portable. An F means something is internally incoherent — wrong archetype for the stage, value equation underwater, CTA at the wrong commitment level.

The DTC-specific leverage

The frameworks in the report — Schwartz, Hormozi, Cialdini, AIDA, PAS, Whitman's Life Force 8 — aren't AdRevila's invention. They're the same stack senior creative strategists use. What changes for DTC brands specifically is how you act on the output.

When you brief your next creative, the report gives you four things a generic swipe-file note doesn't: the stage to write for, the archetype to lead with, the levers your category can credibly fire, and the offer math to beat. Your creative brief stops being "make something like this Olipop ad" and starts being "write a Problem-Aware hook using a Question archetype, fire Social Proof with a specific customer count, and price the offer against a Time Delay that your logistics can actually back up."

That brief produces a different creative than the one your team produced last time. That's the point.

Frequently asked

What ad formats does AdRevila support?
Video ads from Meta Ad Library and TikTok Ad Library. Paste the public URL and AdRevila pulls the video directly. Image-only creatives are not yet supported.
How long does an analysis take?
Most analyses complete in 60–120 seconds. A single Gemini model watches the full video in one call, then outputs the structured report.
Do I need to know the frameworks to use the report?
No. The report explains each score in plain language. The framework vocabulary (Schwartz, Hormozi, Cialdini) is there if you want to go deeper, but every section also gives you a plain-English verdict and a next action.
What's included in the free tier?
One free analysis at signup. After that, you buy credit packs — one credit per analysis, no subscription required.
